I’m unemployed and homeless, by choice. So this is what it’s like to be happy. I’m not broke, I’m also young, recently turned 26, and I’m single (sort of) with 0.0 children and good knees. Oh yeah, hi, I'm Ethan. Three years ago I moved away from old, cold New England to the gorgeous weather of Southern California. I've spent my time here working hard, lots of long hours, stressful days and nights of planning, worrying, problem solving. I’ve been running a fundraising office (street canvassing office) for an environmental non-profit and two months ago I realized I wanted to see this world I was working to save, so I gave notice, bought a ticket to Peru, sold as much as I could, and threw the rest away. It’s now December 1st, I fly east to see my pops in 19 days, and I leave for South America on January 10th.
This is the start of a journal. It’s beginning in a Starbucks near my office (ex-office), but I know it will find it’s way onto moleskins, notebook pages, maybe even napkins and eventually (who knows how often), always, onto my blog. This is an adventure. What will I learn? What will I experience? How will it change me? How will I change it? I’m excited to answer these questions, but honestly, whatever. The most important part of all this is I’m doing it because I can. You always can.
<3 & Respects. Bless Your Travels Brother :))
